Police in Israel have arrested a resident of the town of Zarzir on suspicion of publicly supporting Iran and calling for violence against Jewish people.
According to official reports from the Northern District Police, officers arrived at the suspect’s residence and arrested him while he was in bed. The arrest follows recent national directives to act swiftly against incitement and expressions of support for hostile entities.
Law enforcement agencies emphasized that such rhetoric poses a serious risk to public peace and national security.
“This is part of our zero-tolerance policy toward incitement and support for enemy states,” a police spokesperson said.
The suspect is expected to face legal proceedings in the coming days.
